Can i burn flac files to a cd

I'm guessing you are creating CD-R discs, but from what you have said, you'd be better off creating audio CDs, for player compatibility. Correct garym. I was trying my best to point out to metalhead64 and other users , without getting too technical, that there is an important difference between using a blank writable CD to create a Redbook audio CD CD-DA, the standard format of Artists Music CDs we buy OR simply burning a collection of files to a blank writable CD and the implications of the two formats.

As has been pointed out here, many older CD players and car players will only read Redbook audio CDs successfully. Thanks for the help! Last edited by helder; at PM. Do you have something connected to your home stereo that can play FLAC and car stereo, etc.

If yes, then this pop-up should appear refer to the image below. This pop-up should now appear onto your screen. Make sure to name your disc appropriately. As for Burn Speed, choose one that will suit your needs lower speed equals better quality and higher speed means a possible risk of quality loss.

This one is a bit more specialized than the two previous tutorials. Once the converted FLAC music is in the library, you will need to create a playlist to proceed. The Burn Settings window will pop into view.
