My father would have to drive me to the PTA meetings, and sometimes they were four to five hours. He would joke that he would get a cut from my paycheck. Were you the first in the family to go to an Ivy League school?

ML: My father went to Columbia. I loved Harvard. It was my dream. I think that is one of the reasons why I was willing to take the risk of going into TV news. It seemed like the career that had the most unsure path to success. I was willing to take it because of this notion that if I made it there then I can do this and I can do that; I can do whatever I set my mind too.

We are just doing different things. My sister is a lawyer with the Department of Justice. She is six years older than I and she is just sort of a trailblazer regarding her career path.

LIP: You have accomplished so much professionally and now being newly married. What is next for you? ML: That is probably the hardest question anyone can ever ask me.

It is exciting to me to start this new life with somebody else. The Harvard College alma mater had also worked as a consultant at Mercer Management Consulting before stepping into a television career. The news anchor's career took a big turn [for good reasons] when she joined the reputed CNBC station in The Fall of Lehman Brothers. Lee is a married woman, and she manages a beautiful family with her husband and twins.

Being a consultant gave me a front row seat to many different kinds of businesses and the difficult choices executives have to make. I worked on cases in industries including credit cards, banks, and magazine publishing.

I learned how to put together PowerPoint presentations and build financial models on very little sleep. These are the experiences I draw on when reporting news today. How do you manage the workflow? One show at a time! The one thing I have learned too about workflow is that no matter how overwhelmed you feel, always be in the moment. ET show Fast Money. My focus and energy has to be percent on the task at hand. What was it like to report from China? I loved it. The focus of that documentary was on U.
